Crazy Diamond

Circular design with four quarters in the background, a sunset, a clear day, an ocean scene and a dessert scene. Over this are two mechanical looking hands grabbing each other in a handshake. The left one is translucent, glass-looking and the other is a metallic chromed hand. The design was part of the packaging for Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" album. If memory serves, it was also used as the centre sticker for the vinyl record, but I am not a 100% sure about that.
Shine on!

A beautiful design by George Hardie, re-created in vectors on Affinity Designer for iPad.

This is an alternative cover for Pink Floyd’s 1975 album “Wish You Were Here“. It was also a part of some early distributions as a sticker, and later used for cassette tapes and CD covers. The album is in large part a tribute to fellow band-mate and co-founder Syd Barret, who developed severe mental health issues and had left the band already seven years before this release.

The original design was created by George Hardie, a graphic designer and illustrator working at Hipgnosis, a London based art design group that specialised in creating album cover artwork for rock musicians and bands.
